# Aurora 1.0 and 1.0 Fast

> Aurora 1.0 (720p) and Aurora 1.0 Fast (faster, lower resolution): talking videos from up to 5 minutes of audio.

Aurora 1.0 (`aurora_v1`) is the default when `model_version` is omitted. Aurora 1.0 Fast (`aurora_v1_fast`) renders faster at half the price, at a lower resolution: Aurora 1.0 renders 720p, and our 9:16 example from Aurora 1.0 Fast came out 448 × 832. Both take up to 5 minutes of audio. For the request lifecycle (polling and webhooks), see the [Aurora overview](/api-documentation/aurora/aurora).

Choose Aurora 1.0 for audio longer than Aurora 2.0's 59.7 seconds. For shorter clips, [Aurora 2.0](/api-documentation/aurora/model-aurora-2) gives higher quality and up to 2k.

## Pricing

| Model | Output | Credits per second | Audio length |
| - | - | - | - |
| Aurora 1.0 (`aurora_v1`) | 720p | 1 | Up to 5 minutes |
| Aurora 1.0 Fast (`aurora_v1_fast`) | Below 720p, faster | 0.5 | Up to 5 minutes |

Billing is per second of audio, rounded up to the next whole second. For example, the 10.4-second audio in the example request is billed as 11 seconds: 11 credits with Aurora 1.0, or 5.5 credits with Aurora 1.0 Fast.

Failed videos are refunded automatically, and generated videos stay available for at least 7 days. See [Pricing, limits and retention](/api-documentation/aurora/aurora#-pricing-limits-and-retention) to compare every model.

## Request

<CodeGroup>
  ```bash Example Request theme={null}
  curl --request POST \
      --url https://api.creatify.ai/api/aurora/ \
      --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
      --header 'X-API-ID: your-api-id' \
      --header 'X-API-KEY: your-api-key' \
      --data '{
      "image": "https://d35ghwdno3nak3.cloudfront.net/tutorial/asset-generator/aurora-v2-car.jpg",
      "audio": "https://d35ghwdno3nak3.cloudfront.net/user/18165/2025-09-15/2d20-req-3VV9TLO6qlTOflMMQBRe-0-s.mp3",
      "model_version": "aurora_v1_fast",
      "webhook_url": "https://webhook.example"
    }'
  ```
</CodeGroup>

Use `"model_version": "aurora_v1"`, or leave it out, for Aurora 1.0.

## Examples

The same photo and 10.4-second audio as the [Aurora 2.0](/api-documentation/aurora/model-aurora-2) examples, so you can compare the versions. Aurora 1.0 charged 11 credits and Aurora 1.0 Fast 5.5.
